The Florida Virtual School Office of General Counsel (OGC) serves as chief legal counsel to the Board of Trustees and Administration of Florida Virtual School. The office also provides legal guidance and technical support services to all other offices, departments, officials, and personnel throughout the organization. OGC services routinely involve interpretation and compliance with federal and state law, addressing matters pertinent to public records, open meetings, ethics, rulemaking, personnel, and procurement, as well as handling agency litigation and administrative proceedings.

Theressa Fitzpatrick is a Legal Operations Specialist at Florida Virtual School, offering over a decade of experience in public administration, compliance, and contract management. Known for her transparency and dedication to team success, she holds a Bachelor's in Public Administration from Flagler College and prides herself on a hardworking, service-oriented approach to operational efficiency.

Her professional background includes serving as the operational lead for the four-county SEDNET grant program within the Clay County School District, as well as holding key accounting and procurement roles for the Broward and Santa Rosa County school districts. Theressa is committed to maintaining the high standards of integrity and audit-ready organization required to support the Office of General Counsel.
