How to Order AP Exams

Students receive AP exam ordering information from the assigned FLVS AP teacher. Students should check emails/messages in personal email accounts, course email, and VSA messages to receive this important information.

Once students have successfully ordered AP exams, it is important for students to verify exam registration in their College Board My AP account and to stay in contact with the school AP coordinator regarding exam day procedures.

AP Exam Resources by County

Select your county of residence in the drop-down menu below to view directions specific to your district. If you are testing outside of your district, please follow the directions for the district where you will take your AP exam.

Group 1

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow directions to be sure their AP exam is ordered.
  • There is a link to be used by the student to create a Request for Exam Only Join Code Form.
  • Students take the form to a school site and receive the needed exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as it is received for the exam to be ordered.

Group 2

This district does not offer AP courses/exams. Students need to contact schools outside of the district to find a school who can accommodate them for AP testing. Students can also contact College Board AP Services for assistance (1-888-225-5427).

Broward

Students who attend Broward Virtual School (BVS) full-time

  • For full-time BVS students that are taking FLVS courses, Broward Virtual School (BVS) provides the appropriate Exam Only Join Code. These codes will be distributed to BVS AP students. (Do not contact your zoned school for this information).
  • If you are a full-time BVS student and you have not yet received your exam only join code from BVS, then please reach out to BVS directly as soon as possible.
  • If you are a full-time BVS student that has already gotten an exam only join code from a school site, please contact the school site to have them remove you from their exam only section. Once removed, please enter the BVS provided exam only join code into your College Board account instead.

All other Broward students (FLVS Flex or FLVS Full Time)

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow directions to be sure their AP exam is ordered.
  • There is a link to be used by the student to create a Request for Exam Only Join Code Form.
  • Students take the form to a school site and receive the needed exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as it is received for the exam to be ordered.

Duval

Public school students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow directions to be sure AP exam is ordered.
  • There is a link to be used by the student to create a Request for Exam Only Join Code Form.
  • Students provide the form to the school AP coordinator and receive the needed exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their MyAP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

Home education students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to Duval County home education students, which will require working with the district AP office.

Private school students

  • Duval County does not allow private school students to test in their public schools.
  • Students who attend private schools that do not offer Advanced Placement programs must find another private school or neighboring district school who is willing to accommodate the student for AP testing.

Escambia

Public school students taking an AP exam offered at their school of enrollment

  • Students work with their school AP coordinator to receive exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) received from the school AP coordinator in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

All other students taking AP exams in Escambia County

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow specific directions provided by the teacher to be sure the AP exam is ordered.
  • ALL students testing with Escambia County Public Schools use the district’s Google survey link to request a test site in addition to the FLVS Google link. Escambia County assigns the site and provides the exam only join code.
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

Private school students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow directions to be sure the AP exam is ordered.
  • There is a link to be used by the student to create a Request for Exam Only Join Code Form.
  • Students provide the form to the school AP coordinator and receive the needed exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their MyAP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.
  • Students who attend private schools that do not offer Advanced Placement programs should follow the directions for students taking the AP exams in Escambia County.

Hillsborough

Flex Public school students

  • Students work with their school AP coordinator to receive exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) received from the school AP coordinator in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

FLVS Full Time and Flex Home Education students taking AP exams in Hillsborough County

  • Students must not reach out to any HCPS schools directly.
  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow specific directions provided by the teacher to be sure the AP exam is ordered.
  • Students should forward their confirmation email with FLVS AP Exam Only Join Code Request Form PDF attachment to [email protected].  FLVS will email the student back with the requested exam only join codes.
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

Private school students

  • Hillsborough County does not allow private school students to test in their public schools.
  • Students who attend private schools that do not offer Advanced Placement programs must find another private school or a neighboring district school who is willing to accommodate the student for AP testing.  

Pasco

Public school students

  • Students work with their school AP coordinator to receive exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) received from the school AP coordinator in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

Home education students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to Pasco County home education students.

Private school students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to Pasco County private school students.

Pasco eSchool students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to the program enrollment of their AP course.

Pasco eSchool students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to the program enrollment of their AP course.

Pinellas

All students will receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow specific directions based on their type of school enrollment (public school, home education, charter school, or private school).

Private school students who attend a private school that offers an AP program will order their AP exams at their private school.

Any students taking their AP exams in Pinellas County Public Schools need to follow specific directions based on their type of school enrollment. Pinellas County Public Schools have very specific deadlines and procedures that must be followed.

Students who attend private schools that do not offer Advanced Placement programs should follow the specific directions for a private school student taking exams in Pinellas County Public Schools.

Santa Rosa

Private school students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to Santa Rosa County private school students.

All other Santa Rosa students

  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow directions to be sure their AP exam is ordered.
  • There is a link to be used by the student to create a Request for Exam Only Join Code Form.
  • Students take the form to a school site and receive the needed exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as it is received for the exam to be ordered.

Sarasota

Flex Public school students taking an AP exam offered at their school

  • Students work with their school AP coordinator to receive exam only join code(s) for any AP exams that are offered at the school site they attend.
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) received from the school AP coordinator in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

Private school students

  • Sarasota County does not allow private school students to test in their public schools.
  • Students who attend private schools that do not offer Advanced Placement programs must find another private school or neighboring district school who is willing to accommodate the student for AP testing.

All other students taking AP exams in Sarasota County

  • Students must not reach out to any Sarasota County public schools directly.
  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher.
  • Students must follow the directions specific to FLVS students who reside in Sarasota County, which will require filling out a separate Sarasota Google form and awaiting an email from Sarasota that includes test site assignment and exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

St. Lucie

Flex Public school students

  • Students work with their school AP coordinator to receive exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) received from the school AP coordinator in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

All other students taking AP exams in St. Lucie County

  • Students must not reach out to any St. Lucie County public schools directly.
  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow specific directions provided by the teacher to be sure the AP exam is ordered.
  • Students should forward their confirmation email with FLVS AP Exam Only Join Code Request Form PDF attachment to [email protected].  FLVS will work with the St. Lucie Advanced Studies department to arrange testing for the student. Students should wait to hear back from FLVS with next steps and join codes.
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered. 

Palm Beach

Flex Public school students

  • Students work with their school AP coordinator to receive exam only join code(s).
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) received from the school AP coordinator in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

All other students taking AP exams in Palm Beach County

  • Students must not reach out to any Palm Beach County public schools directly.
  • Students receive AP exam ordering directions from their FLVS AP teacher. Students must follow specific directions provided by the teacher to be sure the AP exam is ordered.
  • Students will submit the FLVS Google form with the required information and then wait until after October 4 to receive an email from a Palm Beach County public school test site that includes their requested exam only join codes.
  • Students must enter the exam only join code(s) in their My AP account as soon as received for exams to be ordered.

Students Outside of Florida

Students need to find a testing location and pay exam fees directly to the test site. Contact [email protected] for information regarding reimbursement procedures.

  • Need accommodations on your College Board assessments?
    • All students with an active Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Section 504 Plan must request accommodations through the College Board for use on AP exams.  If approved, they will provide you with your allowable accommodations for all College Board exams (AP, SAT, PSAT).
    • Please contact your school counselor or AP coordinator and follow their directions for requesting accommodations based on your IEP or 504 Plan.
    • If you are a home education student:
      • Please call the College Board at 844-255-7728 to request the student eligibility form.
      • Then visit the College Board at www.collegeboard.org/ssd and follow the directions for registering.  The review by the College Board may take more than seven weeks; it is important to begin this process in a timely manner.
      • Once received from the College Board, you will provide documentation of your allowable accommodations to the test site well in advance of exam day.
