Earth Day
Earth Day Activities
Florida Virtual School recognizes Earth Day each year as an opportunity to encourage environmental awareness and responsibility across our school community. Observed annually on April 22, Earth Day is a global effort to raise awareness about environmental challenges and promote the protection of natural resources.
First established in 1970, the observance highlights the importance of conservation, sustainability, and thoughtful choices that support a healthier planet for future generations.
Ways Students Can Participate
To recognize Earth Day this year, the FLVS Environmental Club is hosting a week-long series of webinars (April 20-24) focused on sustainability, conservation, and environmental awareness. Students and family members are invited to participate. The sessions, led by FLVS teachers, connect environmental topics to everyday life and explore practical ways students can make informed, responsible choices.
