The new course allows teachers to apply learned skills for teaching in any online environment. The course is self-paced, engaging, and features lessons and interactive modules.
This course teaches best practices in teaching online and is not exclusive to instructing at FLVS.
This is a self-paced course designed by FLVS, complete with lessons, modules, and activities. Because the course is self-led, teachers can take the course on demand to meet their own scheduling needs.
Teachers who complete the training successfully can apply the new skills to teach students in an online environment. This can help prepare teachers for instructing using their district’s online learning solution or at their district’s County Virtual Schools.

Upon successful completion, teachers will receive a certificate of completion that can be sent to their school or district, however rewarding of Professional Development credit hours is determined by the teacher’s school or district. Teachers should work with their administrator for eligibility.

Yes, FLVS has redeveloped more than 75% of the content to help teachers learn best practices for teaching in an online environment, not specific to the FLVS platform. FLVS encourages teachers who have taken VTT to also complete this course, as it contains brand new content and subject matter, including blended learning for classrooms comprised of both in-person and online students.
