Letters to Heroes
Honoring Veterans Through Handwritten Letters
Letters to Heroes is a nationwide movement dedicated to expressing gratitude to frontline workers and military veterans through handwritten letters.
Open to all Full Time and Flex students in grades Kindergarten-12.
Each fall, the FLVS 9-12 Book Club proudly supports this initiative by inviting families to write heartfelt messages of thanks to veterans. These letters are then collected and distributed in partnership with Southeast Florida Honor Flight, ensuring they reach the hands of those who have served with courage and sacrifice. This annual tradition has become a powerful way for our community to say “thank you,” with more than 100 letters sent each year.
In 2025, letters will be collected from Sept. 1-Oct. 31.
How to Participate
Students and parents who would like to participate can write a letter or send a thoughtful card expressing their gratitude to a veteran.
