Update: FLVS Operating Normally Following Hurricane Isaias
Updated: Oct. 11, 2026, 8 a.m.
FLVS will continue normal operations on Monday, Oct. 12.
As communities across Northwest Florida recover from Hurricane Isaias, some students, families, and team members may still be experiencing localized flooding, power outages, or other storm-related impacts.
Families affected by the storm should notify their teacher(s) as soon as possible. Team members should reach out to their supervisors.
Please note that FLVS teachers are located throughout Florida, and response times may vary based on local conditions. If a student's teacher was affected by the storm, families will be notified of a temporary point of contact to help ensure learning continues with minimal disruption.
The well-being of our students, families, and team members remains our top priority. We understand that recovery looks different for everyone, and some may need additional time and support as communities return to normal.
Additional information for those affected, including a list of community resources, is available on the FLVS Storm Resources webpage.

Update: FLVS Operations Remain Normal
Updated: Oct. 8, 2026, 11 a.m.
Isaias has strengthened into a hurricane and is expected to make landfall along the northern Gulf Coast this weekend, impacting portions of the Southeast.
At this time, FLVS operations remain consistent, and we anticipate maintaining normal operations. However, because FLVS students and teachers are located throughout Florida, some teachers may be personally impacted by the storm. As a result, students may experience delays in teacher response times.
If a teacher is affected by the storm and unable to provide timely support, students will be notified of an alternate point of contact to help ensure continuity of instruction and course progress.
Please take all necessary precautions to stay safe and follow the guidance of local authorities. We will continue to share updates as needed and wish everyone in affected areas safety throughout the storm.
