Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools Now Open for 2024-25

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 4, 2024) — Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools is now open for the 2024-25 school year. The full-time option provides students in grades Kindergarten through 12 with a supportive learning experience that combines the flexibility of online learning with the structure of a traditional 180-day school calendar. Open enrollment is open until July 12.
With 72% of parents considering new schools for their children this school year, it’s clear that families are looking for alternative forms of education. For the past two years, enrollment for FLVS Full Time has remained steady, with 9,722 students in the 2022-23 school year and more than 9,000 projected for this school year (2023-24).

With an extensive selection of more than 200 online courses spanning Advanced Placement, electives, Career & Technical Education (CTE), world languages, and NCAA-approved core subjects, Florida Virtual School provides students, particularly those residing in one of Florida’s 30 rural counties, unparalleled accessibility and flexibility. FLVS empowers students to enrich and augment their educational journey, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving future. Upon meeting graduation requirements, students may receive a State of Florida diploma issued by Florida Virtual School.

Apply now for the 2024-25 school year, which begins August 12. Families interested can apply through the Full Time Enrollment page until July 19 for high school and July 26 for elementary and middle school students.

Florida Virtual School Graduation Rate Climbs to All‑Time High of 97%
Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) achieved a 97% graduation rate for the 2024–25 academic year, the highest in the school’s history, according to a report from the Florida Department of Education. The rate increased by 0.4 percentage points from the previous year and by seven percentage points since 2021-22.
