Safe Driving Awareness And Family Day Planned for April 29 at Waterford Lakes Town Center

In support of National Safety Council’s Distracted Driving Awareness month, Florida Virtual School® (FLVS®) will host an educational Safe Driving and Family Day in partnership with Waterford Lakes Town Center to increase automotive safety and awareness on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot located behind Old Navy. The event will feature guest speakers and vendors providing safety tips to parents and students, family activities, treats and more at Orlando’s largest open air shopping, dining and entertainment destination.Related News

Florida Students Complete More Than 706,000 FLVS Semester Courses in 2025-26 School Year
More than 242,000 Florida students enrolled in Florida Virtual School's individual online courses, known as FLVS Flex, during the 2025-26 school year. Students completed more than 706,000 semester courses, a 10 percent increase from the previous year.

Florida Virtual School Launches New School Year With New Courses, Expanded Student Opportunities
Florida Virtual School is expanding its course catalog, student clubs, and learning experiences for the 2026-27 school year, offering new opportunities for students in both FLVS Full Time Public Schools as well as students taking individual courses through FLVS Flex, which offers year-round enrollment.
