Outstanding FLVS Educators Accept Governor’s Shine Award

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Instructional Leader Jason Odom of Gainesville, and Assistant Principal Wilbern Simpson of Lakeland, were among eight educators recognized by Governor Rick Scott who received the Governor’s Shine Award. This award is presented to teachers and administrators in Florida who make significant contributions to the field of education. Both Odom and Simpson certainly fall under that category.Related News

Enrollment Now Open for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools Ahead of 2026–27 Academic Year
Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools (FLVS Full Time) opens June 1 for the 2026–27 school year and is open to Florida students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Families can apply through July 17. Early submission is encouraged due to the limited window. Classes begin August 19.
