Florida Virtual School® Board of Trustees Approves Lady Dhyana Ziegler as New Board Chair

Today, the Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) Board of Trustees announced that Lady Dhyana Ziegler, DCJ, Ph.D., has been voted in as the new Chair of the FLVS Board of Trustees. Ziegler, who served as Vice Chair of the FLVS Board of Trustees for the past four years, will become the Chair effective immediately. She succeeds Michael Olenick, who recently stepped down as Chair of the FLVS Board of Trustees when he was appointed by Governor Scott to the State Board of Education.

More than 242,000 Florida students enrolled in Florida Virtual School's individual online courses, known as FLVS Flex, during the 2025-26 school year. Students completed more than 706,000 semester courses, a 10 percent increase from the previous year.
