Hour of Code
Hour of Code: One Hour. Big Possibilities.
Every year during Computer Science Education Week, FLVS joins the global Hour of Code movement, a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and the power of technology. Through fun, one-hour coding activities, students of all ages and experience levels get a chance to explore the basics of computer science in an exciting and accessible way.
Whether new to coding and artificial intelligence or already curious about how technology works, Hour of Code offers something for everyone. From building simple programs to experimenting with artificial intelligence, students learn foundational skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and logical thinking, all essential for success in today’s digital world. It’s more than just an introduction to coding; it’s a launchpad for future learning and innovation.
In 2025, Hour of Code is Dec. 8-14.
