How do I apply for admissions at FLVS?
How do I request courses at FLVS?

- FLVS offers continual enrollment which allows students to begin courses throughout the year. If you have already applied for admissions and received a username and password, you may check course availability and request courses by logging into your account and clicking on the “Request New Courses” link. If you are interested in starting a course in a month not listed, please come back to request the course as we continue to add new months every 30 days. You may select a preferred start month up to three months into the future. As the year progresses, so will your monthly choices. FLVS will make every attempt to place you in a course based on the month of your requested start.
How do I check the status of my course request?
Log into your account as often as you like, using your username and password. Once you are placed in your desired course, you will be contacted by your instructor either by phone or VSA System Message. It is important for students to continually monitor their FLVS account for System Messages informing them of the status of each requested course.
Can I work at my own pace?
Students may opt to work at an accelerated, traditional, or extended pace.
How do I select an honors course?
During registration, please sign up for the course you desire. Once you have been activated in the course, please inform your teacher by phone if you wish to take the honors version. The teacher can explain all requirements needed to obtain honors credit.
Other important information about requesting courses:
- Please use Internet Explorer version 5.5 - 6.0 only when registering.
- Do NOT use Netscape browser or AOL browser.
- Please make sure the email address you entered during the admissions process is always up to date, as FLVS will send important emails to this address. Due to spam filters, users with an AOL email address may experience issues receiving emails from FLVS.
- We encourage parents/guardians to apply for a guardian account to electronically approve student course requests. The account also allows parents/guardians to monitor student progress. (Note: Student username and password are needed to apply for a guardian account, so student must apply for admissions first.)
How do I monitor the availability of courses that are closed?
