1) Where do I apply for admission to FLVS?
2) There is an FLVS Franchise school in my county, where do I apply?
You can apply here and when choosing courses during registration, you may decide to take one course through your franchise and another through FLVS. Either way, you enjoy the same quality courses. These counties currently have FLVS franchise virtual schools:Broward, Dade, Hillsborough, Marion, Okaloosa, Polk, Palm Beach, St. Johns
3) What do I need to apply?
Florida Resident students must be enrolled in a Florida public, affiliated private or charter school or registered with your district as a homeschooler.

4) What do Military families need to apply?
To qualify as a Florida Resident when you are stationed oustide of Florida, you need:
- Florida as your home residency, on record with the military branch
- Copy of military I.D.
- Copy of Voter's Registration Card
5) How old do I have to be to apply?
Students must be in middle or high school and no older than 19 years in their senior year.

6) What is a Parent/Guardian Account?
After a student creates an account, the parent/guardian will create their own account with a username and password used to login and monitor the student's account.

7) Can I use Netscape or AOL during the application process?
Please use Internet Explorer version 5.5 - 6.0 only when registering. Do NOT use Netscape browser or AOL browser.
FLVS Courses FAQs
1) How do I request courses at FLVS?
- First you will need to create an account during the application process.
- Then login with your FLVS Student account username and password and click on "Request a Course".

2) When do courses start?
Since FLVS uses rolling enrollment, students are starting classes as soon as seats becomes available. Each student has his/her own particular start date which may be different than others in the class.
3) How do I check the status of my course request?
Login to your account twice a week, using your username and password. Check your Student Dashboard to see if there is a green x next to your course.
4) Can I work at my own pace?
Students may opt to work at an accelerated, traditional, or extended pace.
5) How do I select an honors course?
During registration, please sign up for the course you desire. Once you have been activated in the course, please inform your teacher by phone if you wish to take the honors version. The teacher can explain all requirements needed to obtain honors credit.
6) Other important information about requesting courses:
- Please make sure the email address you entered during the admissions process is always up to date, as FLVS will send important emails to this address. Due to spam filters, users with an AOL email address may experience issues receiving emails from FLVS.
