Unless you get the Fuse television station, or have a friend who’s extremely music-savvy, it’s fairly likely that you haven’t heard of Madina Lake. If, however, you like rock music that sounds different than anything else, you may want to do yourself a favor and check them out.

If you like slightly slower songs, you should enjoy ‘One Last Kiss.’ Are you into some of the metal/screamo songs? I can almost guarantee that you’ll like ‘True Love.’ As much as the name might suggest otherwise.

There are always those who like songs mostly for their beats. If you’re one of them, I would suggest ‘Here I Stand.’ And, if you’re anything like some of my friends, you love those music videos. Madina Lake certainly has some interesting videos.

This alternative/rock band from Chicago, Illinois, has their many influences, from hard rock to grunge. By mixing them all together, we now have a band that has yet to gain a lot of popularity, but deserves any they shall receive.

Madina Lake’s first CD, From Them, Through Us, To You, is worth listening to, if you have any taste for rock music. And if you are really into trying new things, you might want to give them a listen even if you don’t care much for the rock genre.

The guys who make up the band are from a variety of places. From lead vocalist Nathan Leone and his twin brother, Matthew, from Chicago, to Dan Torelli from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Then there’s Mateo Camargo, all the way from Bogotá/Columbia.

Point in short: Madina Lake is a great band. If you want to add another great sound to your list, do yourself a favor and go check out the CD!
