A Note from the Sponsor

Once again I am offering you a chance to be a part of our News in a Click staff. If you are taking a course with us, you are eligible! Maybe you'd like to write a news article, argue about something, submit a piece of art work, compose a poem - whatever talent you might have, we would be glad to have you on board! Send an email to dmcmanus@flvs.net.

A Reminder to All FLVS Students!

Please remember to use your own work when submitting assignments! When you registered with Florida Virtual School, you signed a document pledging to honestly complete your assignments yourself. Since this is an online environment, the temptation is great to claim the work of others as your own. Not only is this an insult to your teachers since they learn to recognize the style of your writing, but it is also illegal!

Plagiarism is a form of academic dishonesty (a.k.a. cheating!) that can be defined as the copying of writings, figures, or other materials and claiming them as your own original work, the altering of a document without properly acknowledging the author/artist, or the use of the ideas of another without a complete citation. Always be sure to think for yourself and use the work of others for reference and quotation purposes only. Give credit where credit is due!

If you would like more information about plagiarism, you can go to this website: http://www.writing.nwu.edu/tips/plag.html
