Jibber Jabber Volume Fourteen
by Andrew Burnette
Grade 11

***Rain Delay***

There are so many things that people do in their lives that seem so funny when you think about it. That’s where I come in, you know, because I consider myself a thinker.

I mean, we all think at some point in our lives. Some think more consistently than others, but some people think differently. I’m think I think differently, and just for that, I think I am a different thinker.

So, as I was saying, people have a tendency to do odd things that may seem reasonable at the time, but with further thinking, they are downright crazy. Say you’re walking out of a store and it starts to rain. Some people will just try to make it to their car before they get real soaked, some people may just walk and say, “Hey I’m already wet…”

But some people are different…

Some people exclaim to the world that they are astonished and upset at the rain.

“My goodness, heavens to Betsy, it’s raining! The water, it’s pouring in droplets from the sky and it bothers me!” and you know, those people exist. They pop up everywhere, at the grocery store, the bowling alley, the dryer sheet factory. It’s an epidemic, I say, an epidemic!

Well, maybe it’s just me, but after centuries of rain I would think the human population would’ve gotten used to it by now.

Then again, I am a thinker…

Thanks for reading my Jibber Jabber.

I think I’ll just throw this out there and let everyone digest it as food for thought.

Non sense. Yum.
