FLVS Teacher Requirements
Florida Virtual School
hires qualified, certified teachers. To be considered for an instructional position with Florida Virtual School you must:

possess a valid, Florida Professional teaching certificate.

be certified in the appropriate subject area for the job posting.
Out-of-State Certified Teachers:
Do you hold a valid, professional teaching certificate from another state? National Board Certified:
Florida Virtual School has over 100 National Board Certified teachers on staff and supports the National Board through the Dale Hickam Excellent Teaching Program. For more information regarding National Board please go here: http://www.nbpts.org/.
How do you become certified?
If you hold a bachelors degree and are considering the teaching profession you must meet the requirements for certification. You can find information at the Florida Department of Education , Bureau of Educator Certification website http://www.fldoe.org/edcert/.
