Full-time 6-12 option for Florida students

Families in need of a full-time solution for their 6-12 student can now look to Florida Virtual School, the nation's virtual education leader. FLVS has developed Florida Virtual School Full-Time (FLVSFT), a full-time, 180-day comprehensive program, to serve 6-12 students in participating districts. Highly qualified, certified teachers will instruct the student, using your district's pupil progression and reading plans to guide course enrollments.

Because of Florida's commitment to online learning, you can participate in this program for absolutely no cost to your family since it is funded by the district.

HOW TO SIGN UP YOUR STUDENT:

Registration closes January 15, 2010. 1) Meet Qualifications: The student must have been in a Florida public school program in the 2008-2009 school year. (October 2008 and February 2009) This is a full time, 180-day program option for 6-8 or 9-12 students in participating districts. Please see chart to the right. The full-time virtual program is a district program and students are not enrolled until the district approves the student. Check your school district for more information. If you don't see your county listed, then your district is not currently partnering with FLVSFT. Please contact your district for 6-12 virtual options. 2) Directions to Sign up!  You will create an online account using the link below. (If you already have an FLVS student account, please update your academic profile under student records to "Florida Virtual School Full Time Program" as your physical school) When selecting your Physical School during the sign up process, after selecting your District, please select "Florida Virtual School Full Time Program" as your Physical School After completing admissions, a FLVS guidance counselor will contact you to schedule your courses.
