Steve Reeves joined FLVS as a Latin Instructor in 2001. Soon after, Mr. Reeves tackled course development by creating our AP Art History course. Mr. Reeves has also served on multiple committees at FLVS, playing an influential role in programs that benefit both students and teachers. Mr. Reeves’ analytical nature coupled with his teaching experiences drive him to look for ways to work smarter and serve students better.
Before coming to FLVS, Mr. Reeves’ was a classroom teacher for 13 years. During this time Mr. Reeves taught a wide array of subjects such as AP English Literature, AP Latin, Honors Chemistry and Physical Science. Mr. Reeves coached varsity swimming and water polo for many years as well.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Reeves has been recognized as a Fulbright scholar and has received grants from The National Endowment for the Humanities and The Classical Association of the Middle West and South.
Mr. Reeves holds a B.S. in Zoology, a B.A. in Classics and a M.A. in Latin from the University of Florida. Currently, Mr. Reeves is working toward an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida.
