After 19 years as an educator, Sharon Padgett chose teaching with Florida Virtual School as the best career move for her, and as the best way in which to serve her students.

After working in the field of banking, Mrs. Padgett accepted a teaching position with Clay County Schools, Florida. While there, she taught several different business courses.

Mrs. Padgett first became familiar with FLVS as a lab facilitator assisting students with their online courses. She was impressed with the way in which FLVS’ courses and instructors addressed the needs of students. She recognized the FLVS instructional approach as one that parallels her own teaching methods.

Mrs. Padgett is skilled at creating a high level of motivation within her students. For her, it all starts with high expectations. She has served as an effective advisor for the Future Business Leaders of America, guiding her students to several state and district awards. She is most proud, however, of the times when she was able to help struggling students recognize their potential and achieve their educational goals.

Mrs. Padgett earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education for the University of North Florida.
