An important part of every resume includes the talents and skills possessed by the individual who is seeking employment. Students who take classes from Peggy Leopold acquire important skills to include on their resumes, and good answers to the question, “What can you do?”
Ms. Leopold believes that all her students have the ability and potential to become successful in their careers. She chose to teach in the area of vocational education because she wanted to provide students with the skills they need to succeed in college or in any future occupation.
For the past twenty-one years, she has taught classes that include Keyboarding, Business Systems and Technology, Business Management, and SAT Prep. She is currently a career and college counselor at her traditional high school. In addition to teaching, Ms. Leopold has used many of her business-related skills as a legal secretary for fifteen years.
Ms. Leopold chose to join Florida Virtual School because of the effective manner in which the school employs technology. She believes that FLVS students experience an excellent example of appropriately applied technology as a means for communicating information and learning. Whether teaching online with FLVS or serving as a high school counselor, Ms. Leopold wants her students to know she is always available to help with encouragement, suggestions or friendly advice.
