Nathaniel (Nate) Askew had an important career goal in mind when he chose to join Florida Virtual School. He wanted to work for an organization that is at the leading edge of its business line, with executive leadership that strives to build a cohesive team work environment.

Mr. Askew was positioned to make a well-informed career choice. His previous employers include AT&T, Florida Information Services, Harcourt Brace, and Lockheed Martin. While working for these companies, he has had to opportunity to work in a number of technology roles. He has developed software, conducted system testing, managed test teams, implemented and managed process improvement teams, and managed software development teams that supported company goals and priorities. His most satisfying accomplishment involved a team project to define and build an end-to-end, company-wide testing process chartered to bring the cost of quality in line with company goals.

At FLVS, Mr. Askew ensures that the network infrastructure will support the current and future technology needs of the staff and students. He is also responsible for ensuring that operational business systems projects are properly planned and executed, and that the schools records managing process meets the legal and operational requirements of a global service provider.

Mr. Askew earned his MBA with a concentration in Data Processing from Florida Institute of Technology. His Bachelors in Business Administration was awarded by Bethune-Cookman College.
