Lynn Kane

Lynn is a teacher with The Florida Virtual School for the past 8 years. She is the only teacher who was previously on the Advisory Board of Directors during the early days of FLVS. She has an Interdisciplinary Master's degree from Webster University , St. Louis , Missouri comprised of courses in Industrial Relations, Public Administration, Guidance and Counseling. Her BS was in Psychology from Central Missouri State University , Warrensburg , Missouri . She holds a professional teaching certification at the Master's level in Special Ed, Psychology and Sociology. Lynn started her teaching career in 1969 as a Military Instructor in the United States Army, then later as Associate Professor of Military Science at Central Missouri State University before coming to public education at Port St. Joe Jr./Sr. High School in Port St. Joe , Florida where she taught Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. She moved to Okaloosa County in 1989 and taught at Choctawhatchee High School then at Okaloosa Applied Technology Center in a self-contained classroom for special needs students prior to coming to The Florida Virtual School in 1998. For over 16 years Lynn has been writing web pages for educational, community, federal government, commercial organizations and has published over 70 sites on the Internet.
