After spending 25
years in the business world and then selling her employment
agency to an international firm, Linda Schneider needed another
challenge. She determined that nothing could be more challenging
than returning to college with the goal of obtaining a teaching
degree.
With her customary enthusiasm,
Mrs. Schneider discovered that teaching was “fun.” She also
discovered that there was great satisfaction in sharing her
“real world” business experiences with students.
For the past four years,
Mrs. Schneider has taught courses in Business Management, Marketing,
and Accounting. In the process, Mrs Schneider’s students have
acquired much of her enthusiasm and many of her insights in
successful business operations. They have also recognized the
relevancy of their current coursework for their future success.
In coming to FLVS, Mrs.
Schneider brings her enthusiasm to an important new teaching
tool. She believes that online learning is one of the most innovative
and most effective student-centered methods for providing instruction.
Similarly, she believes that web design skills are important
for success in many of today’s careers.
Mrs. Schneider earned
her Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from
Florida Gulf Coast University. She obtained her B.A. from the
College of Education at the University of South Florida.
