For Karen Morrison, a good day is a hectic day. And a great day is spent with lots of energy and a smile in your voice. At Florida Virtual School, each working day goes by quickly for Mrs. Morrison.
A high level of customer service is the quality that Mrs. Morrison applies to her work. Her understanding voice on the phone is an important part of making that experience a positive one.
For 20 years, Mrs. Morrison encountered the public as an employee of the Dominion Electric Company in Virginia. Her desk in the lobby was the focal point for hundreds of questions each day. Her professional goal was to offer every customer accurate information, personal reassurance and a sense that the company cared. Mrs. Morrison supports the Director of Instruction and the Instructional Staff.
Today at FLVS, Mrs. Morrison interacts with customers over the phone, but her ability to answer questions and offer solutions is just as reassuring. Her genuine interest in the needs of students and their parent her incentive to keep the enrollment process on schedule. Mrs. Morrison’s commitment to work is matched by her commitment to family. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 23 years. Her daughter Whitney and a beagle named Maddie round out the family.
