Heather Nail loves reading and writing. She wants to share her love of English with her students. For the past eleven years, she has combined these two interests, and has helped hundreds of students acquire their own love for English.
Mrs. Nail has taught high school in both Polk and Brevard Counties in Florida. She joined the Florida Virtual School faculty because she believes in the merit of on line learning. She is willing to go the extra mile to help her students. She believes her most important accomplishment is seeing a student succeed.
Mrs. Nail began her teaching career at Kathleen High School in Lakeland where she was named by her school as New Teacher of the Year. She was also named one of the top six first-year teachers in her school district. She has been named in Who’s Who Among American Teachers for several years.
Mrs. Nail earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Florida State University. Her AA was awarded by Polk Community College. Mrs. Nail’s husband Terry works as a graphic designer. Their daughter Hailey was born in December 2005.
