Educational Background
Mrs. Boles received her B.A. degree in Latin from the University of Oklahoma (Go Sooners!) and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida.

Professional Background
She has been in the educational field for 25 years as a teacher of Latin and five years as a district curriculum specialist. Mrs. Boles served on the writing team for the Foreign Language Sunshine State Standards and is currently a member of the Florida Foreign Language Association Board of Directors. She hold membership in numerous professional organizations: the American Classical League, the Classical Association of the Midwest and South, past president and past vice-president of the Classical Association of Florida, TESOL, SSTESOL, the Florida Foreign Language Association, American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages, and ASCD.

In 1995 Mrs. Boles was named the Florida Latin teacher of the Year and she was named Okaloosa County Teacher of the Year in 1996. She credits her outstanding students with the attainment of these awards.

Personal Background
Mrs. Boles lives in Niceville, Florida with her husband Skip and their two standard poodles, Pandora and Apollo. She has two married sons, Jason a Navy F-18 Super Hornet pilot, and Jeff an industrial engineer with Watkins, Inc. She enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, Avery and Morgan. Skip is a retired Air Force F-15 pilot and in now an instructor for F-15 simulators at Eglin AFB. The Boles have lived in Texas, New Mexico, Korea, Virginia, Germany, Missouri, and Florida.
