Customer Care Representative Florida Virtual School
Her smile comes right through the phone. So does her quiet assurance that the needs of Florida Virtual School parents and students will be met. When Cynthia Alloway answers the phone, customers quickly recognize that she knows how to help.
Ms. Alloway says she feels an “affinity” for her customers and their needs. In turn, they feel a high level of comfort when seeking her help and advice. Spanish-speaking callers especially appreciate her bilingual skills. For them, she is the friendly voice that creates an immediate connection.
Ms. Alloway came to FLVS with an extensive background in creating connections and building trust. She worked for the Lorain County Community Action Agency in Ohio, assisting the families of Head Start students with referrals to community services. She also provided direct instruction to Head Start students. In addition, she worked as an administrative aide in the Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, helping ensure that patients felt respected and cared for.
Today, Ms. Alloway is pleased to bring her customer relations skills to a school that prepares its students with skills for the 21st Century. She is also pleased to leave the cold temperatures of Ohio for the warmer weather of the South. As a person who enjoys entertaining friends with her cooking and baking, Ms. Alloway feels right at home with the idea of Southern hospitality.
