National Board Certified Teacher Beatrice Jones-Hudson believes that teachers positively influence their students today, and positively impact society far into the future. For more than ten years, she has sought to share her knowledge with young people, and prepare them to be society’s future leaders.
Ms. Jones-Hudson chose to teach business education because of a desire to connect learning with real-world applications. Her interest in the business world and her desire to provide students with real-world skills made teaching the natural choice.
During her teaching career, Ms. Jones-Hudson has taught Business Systems Technology, Accounting, Financial Operations, Financial Planning, Financial Accounting, Digital Publishing, and Administrative Office Technology. At Bellview High School in Belleview, Florida she served as the director of the Academy of Business and Finance. During the 2001-2002 school year, she was recognized by her school as the Applied Technology Teacher of the Year. She was also been recognized in Who’s Who Among American Teachers for three years.
As a member of the Florida Virtual School faculty, Ms. Jones-Hudson is pleased to use modern online technology to support the teaching of modern business technology. She believes that the online environment provides additional ways to engage her students on a one-on-one basis.
Ms. Jones-Hudson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Alabama State University. Her A.S. degree in Computer Science was awarded by Selma University.
